I am excited to welcome you to a wonderful year! My name is Candy Tackett and I have taught here at Camden Station for 14 years. I graduated from East Tennessee State University with a Bachelors of Science in Education and I received my Masters degree at Walden University with a specialty in reading.
I am married to Don, who is a chemist, and works at a company called Sud Chemie. We have two beautiful girls, Sophie and Isabella. Sophie is 10 and is in fifth grade, and our baby Bella is 5 and she is in Kindergarten! They are simply the highlight of my life. I talk about them often in my newsletters, so I hope you don’t mind to listen.
I have a new assistant this year and we are so excited for him to be a part of our Camden family. His name is Mr. Calvert and this is his story! :) I am originally from Bowling Green, home of the Corvette! I just graduated from Western Kentucky University with my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education. This will be my first year at Camden Station Elementary; I am very excited to be an Eagle!
I am very close to my family; I enjoy traveling back to Bowling Green any chance I get. My puppy, Zeke, also loves going for the ride! In addition to my family, I love sports, reading, and being outdoors.
I'm very excited to be a part of the Camden Station family, and I look forward to begin the new school year! I hope that you all can help me welcome Mr. Calvert to this exciting year at Camden Station Elementary!
